Don’t let anyone else write your story. You are the author, editor, narrator and publisher. You hold the keys to what can and can’t be done in your life. If I chose to believe what the doctors said would be my future, I would be crippled right now. Let that sink in. Think about all of the beliefs about yourself that you have right now, are they your own and have you allowed the beliefs of someone else cripple you?

Healing involves more than just your body,  your mind state plays a very big role in recovery. Your body’s performance and an effective treatment  is dependent on your mind body connection.  

  Dr. Maxwell Maltz, author of “Psycho-Cybernetics” stated that we need to have a positive and calm state of mind to push our limits.  I do have to admit, that after going through an experience as traumatizing and painful as a burn, the last thing you would naturally be thinking is to be calm and peaceful. With that being said, there is a time for everything, we must first accept our circumstances and only from there can we start to grow.




Prior to my burn experience, I never thought that I could be included in a hand burn statistic. I was aware that people got burned but I never thought it could happen to me. A lot of things in this world are out of our control. I wish that I could say that there was something that I could have done to prevent my burn from happening, some sort of guideline to give you so that you don’t experience what I went through but freak accidents do occur. Unfortunate situations do happen, that is the reality of our existence but it is important to not lose ourselves in the process. We must learn to step back and take an objective view on the situation to be able to learn the lesson in front of us. Even though I went through a lot of pain and discomfort, looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. This experience taught me a lot about myself, what I want in life and what is important to me. 

Right after my hand burn I was desperate for any information that could help me and let me know that everything was going to be alright. I spent hours, days and weeks looking through books and the internet to find anything that could help me, all that I could find was medical journals and studies about the severity of burns and the gory pictures to go along with them. What was missing were success stories, before and after pictures and accounts of how people dealt with what they were going through. This is the reason why I chose to write this book, it is hard enough having to deal with something like this, it is even harder having to do it on your own. I was always on the search for products and techniques to improve my situation, I spent a lot of time and even went into debt to try any and everything to reach a state of relief. I did the work so that you don’t have to.


Whether you have a hand burn, leg burn, any other burn or you can just use a success story in the face of adversity, I hope that this book can help you.
